How do I decide what kind of furniture I want? Fortunately for you, the Vintage Treasures team is working hard to create a selection of textile solutions that meet the demands of the customer for diversity and expression. Before choosing the right materials for each unique design they made, Vintage Treasures conduct an in-depth study. Seven design styles dominate consumer preferences, and Vintage Treasures will aggressively follow design style trends to make sure that the fabrics in store for the customer. The seven design fads are out list here, along with the most popular textiles, colors, fabrics, designs, metals, and woods.

Art Deco

Art Deco has an array of colors that speak loudly to the person entering the room. The first thing one will notice is the intense color palette of Bold hues like salmon, navy blue, and yellow. This design style has a reputation for being extremely maximalist and energizing. The energy comes from the variety of patterns you’ll see in accent chairs and side tables with abstract or geometric patterns. If you’re looking into a reupholstery the most trendy fabrics are going to be leather, velvet, and chenille. We advise choosing leather because it is the most secure choice if you decide against eclectic patterns in the future. Lastly, the most popular metals are gold, copper, and brass, while the most common woods are red oak or burned umber.

Mid-Century Modern

Mid-Century Modern is the most common design style in all homes in America. It brings a tranquil atmosphere with its subtle color pallet of neutrals. If one is looking for a pop of color, trends tend to gravitate toward blues. The blue will bring a tranquil atmosphere while also giving the room some character. This design is commonly matching with farmhouse-style furnishings since they have similar styles. You’ll notice that Farmhouse tables have that muted color that pairs well with a Mid-Century design. Next, the trendy patterns in Mid-Century Modern are oriental and geometric. You will begin to see these patterns in rugs or as an accent pillow for a bed/couch.

Farmhouse

Farmhouse is exactly what is sounds like, this design offers farm-like designs into a home. This design is known to pair up with Mid-Century modern or become its own thing but more intertwined with the Western theme. The color palette of farmhouse furniture is generally pale unless you like a contrast with black for a modern look. If one is looking for the full potential of a western theme our research has indicates that the New Mexico colors is terracotta, turquoise, brown, and mustard yellow. The patterns consisted in a farmhouse design will feather an Aztec or Oriental patterns that are seen mostly on decor pieces, accent chair, and sometimes tables. The array of wood selections in Farmhouse can vary depending on the chosen color palette. We’ve seen oak, cedar, pine and etc. when crafting wooden furniture for our clients.

Eclectic

The eclectic design screams freedom of creativity. This design is very expressive and loud with its choice of many, many colors! The sibling of an eclectic room is art deco design, these two designs have very similar styles.  There are no restrictions on patterns in an eclectic design. It is noted that this design has intense texture in its fabrics, some including velvet, chenille, crepe, and chiffon. We recommend looking at our chiffon collection because it is most commonly used with our eclectic designers. Lastly, the metals you will see in eclectic furniture are brass, copper, gold, chrome, and steel.

Bohemian

The bohemian design offers a feel of being at the beach! This design can fit with a farmhouse, art deco, or mid-century modern. This beige environment can accommodate a mixture of designs and still offer a relaxed feel to it. The most commonly uses a pop of color is terracotta which is in either decor pieces or as an accent to a piece of furniture. Our research is showing that bohemium design has a style trend of tribal patterns, this pattern will offer a pop of color in the beige atmosphere.  Tweed and jute are both highly popular fabrics that are seen as an accent on couches and chairs. We recommend against picking jute because it will make you itchy.

Cottage Core

Cottage Core is the most trendy design style for Gen Z. It brings an outdoors-like atmosphere inside with its earth-tone color pallet.  The earth tones is consisting of terracotta, pine green, browns, and grays. This design is commonly matching with bohemian furnishings since they have similar styles. You’ll notice that Farmhouse tables have a mute color that pairs well with Mid-Century furniture and decor. Its trendy patterns is stitches with a randomization of markings.
